A big part of all things faithful is to get the word out about inspiring people in the local community doing great things and how you can get involved.
A local organization that has stood out for us is Cheyanna’s Champions 4 Children (Cc4c). Cc4c’s mission is to support the community of families and children with rare or undiagnosed conditions. Founded by Talaya Frazier in 2011, Cc4c connects sponsored children with champion athletes and high school teams to provide them with inspiring events and empowerment. They give children who struggle with difficult medical situations, and their families, a network of support and hope.
Their vision is that “any child, anywhere, without answers to their illness will have a community to turn to for resources and support to heal”.
Cc4c is making a great impact in our community and changing lives.
Here is a video on how Cc4c made a difference in a child’s life:
Cc4c also held their annual gala, A Night to Uplift, in this past April in which thousands of dollars were raised to help the families with children with rare and undiagnosed conditions pay for medical costs not covered by insurance. KVUE covered the event and aired a great feature on Cc4c!
CC4C’s next event is the Baker Triangle Golf Classic at the River Place Country Club on October 9th at 11:30. Registration opens at 10:00am. All proceeds benefit CC4C kids.
They also have our annual gala, the Night To Uplift, slated for April 8th, 2018 at Ranch Austin. The supporters and attendees will enjoy live music, dinner, a live and silent auction as well as Texas-style outdoor entertainment.
They encourage new volunteers and anyone is welcome to their weekly meetings!
