faithful pick: Mere Christianity
We cannot consume enough of C.S. Lewis’ writing.
Our latest read was Mere Christianity and his musings about Christianity left us ready to read it again just to make sure we didn’t miss anything!
In C.S. Lewis’s Mere Christianity, the idea of “religion” is dissected and reimagined in an unconventional, yet assertive manner. A prior devout atheist, Lewis brilliantly discusses his (reluctant) journey into the arms of Christ and explains the whats, the hows, and the whys of the Christian doctrine. Lewis neither condescends nor forces his readers into his opinions, but merely wishes to open the eyes of curious minds into what Christianity truly means.
This is an excellent read, both for seasoned Christians and for those who need a helping hand pulling their faith back up.
