person to know: Jennie Allen
My dream is to create a vision within women to engage a handful of neighbors, friends and co-workers. Bring them together to share deeply about the invisible struggles in their hearts and how to relate those struggles to the invisible God who wants to impact them. -Jennie Allen
Fellow Austinite Jennie Allen is authentic.
We are engaged whenever she is speaking, and more often than not, she is bringing Caitlyn to tears with her vision of a more faithful world that rests simply on us loving God. No pretenses, no nonsense…just loving God.
With some major voices in the faith community, it is easy to feel a sort of disconnect, as if they aren’t facing the same struggles and fear that everyday life brings. Jennie’s words are the opposite: they are relatable. She is down in the trenches with us. She is juggling a busy life, and she isn’t pretending to have it all figured out. That is why Jennie is a person to know. She is walking through this crazy world with us, praising Him and providing guidance along the way.
One of the most engaging talks Jennie has given was at this year’s IF: Gathering, which was held in downtown Austin. Jennie shares insight about stepping out in the world and taking action in His name to further His kingdom, one relationship at a time.
Jennie has three bible studies we highly recommend taking the time to look into doing. Her latest, Nothing to Prove, aims to teach us that we have nothing to prove to anyone, because He has already proven everything.
We hope you take the time to listen to Jennie’s perspective on the world and how we can better serve Him in it. She will not shame you into being a better servant of God, but rather, she will inspire you to openly shine His light in your daily life and to spread His love to everyone you meet.
