Brandon Lake – Husband, Father, Singer, Songwriter, and Worship Leader.
Singer, songwriter and worship leader Brandon Lake is, at his core, a collaborator. He’s written hit songs with groups like Maverick City Music, Elevation Worship and Bethel Music as well as co-writing with a host of artists including Matt Redman, Phil Wickham, Brian Johnson and Tasha Cobbs Leonard. His song with Cobbs Leonard, “This Is A Move,” went on to be nominated for a 2020 GRAMMY® Award and earned a 2019 GMA Dove Award for “Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year.” He also co-wrote “Graves Into Gardens,” the title track from Elevation Worship’s latest best-selling release of the same title.
Lake’s debut album, House of Miracles, showcased his collaborative edge, mixing genres and musical elements to create an expertly crafted album full of moving, powerful melodies, surprising beauty, soaring vocals and lyrics that cut to the bone. Stand out tracks “Gratitude,” “Just Like Heaven,” “I Need A Ghost” and “Lost In Your Love (feat. Sarah Reeves)” are as musically compelling as they are lyrically rich. Lake’s testimonial fire burns through every song with a holy rowdiness, a shout-your-throat-raw energy that runs the full gamut of emotions. He deftly moves from fast-paced exuberance to quiet, intimate prayers telling of his all-encompassing love for God, the sole focus of Lake’s devotion.
The album’s concept and title came from a deeply personal place. “Miracles have been a huge part of my life,” Lake shares, “things you would never believe with your own eyes, things that could only be supernatural. That’s my prayer for this season. I want to be a house of miracles, want my life to house miracles. I want people to walk away having encountered miracles, in a miraculous form or a simple one.”
Brandon lives with his wife Brittany and three sons Beau, Blaise, and Banner in Charleston, South Carolina where he continues serving as worship pastor at Seacoast Church.
