Phylicia Masonheimer – Helping Christian Women Know What They Believe and Live it Fully.
Phylicia Masonheimer teaches Christian women how to apply faith to the realities of life. She is a blogger, podcast host, speaker, and author of Stop Calling Me Beautiful: Finding Soul-Deep Strength in a Skin-Deep World. Her writing focuses on overcoming sin and difficulty by the power of a maturing personal relationship with God.
Phylicia (“Phy”) grew up in a Christian home. She knew all the Christianese, but she didn’t know why she believed any of it—or how it applied to her life. It wasn’t until college (she has a B.S. in Religion) that Phy realized what the gospel was meant to do. The gospel is meant to transform how we view the world, including how we think, act, date, love, work, marry, and parent. Following Christ is a daily forward motion into the heart of God.
As her walk with God deepened, Phy sought answers to the tough questions her millennial peers were asking. These questions were about everything: Alcohol, dating, marriage, sex, and politics.
As she dug for the answers, she wrote about what she discovered. And through a secret struggle with lust, Phy came to understand that she was only as safe from sin as she was close to Christ.
Today she’s still finding biblical answers to cultural questions. She’s the founder of blog and website Every Woman a Theologian, dedicated to helping women know what they believe and living it boldly.
Her goal as a teacher? To teach women how to discern truth, know what (and Who) they believe, and live their faith boldly in a post-Christian world.
Phylicia lives in northern Michigan with her husband and children.
